Mattie was a unicorn princess at my daughter’s birthday party and she was a huge hit. She was easy to work with and provided options for her costume. We originally planned the party to be outside, but due to the rain, we moved it inside. Mattie’s was flexible and super sweet. Her ability to entertain the kids while also engaging them in a story was such a huge help. My daughter absolutely loved that a unicorn visited her party. It was the highlight of the party!! Born in the Bay Area and raised in LA, I am a California girl all the way. I'm a senior at Carlmont High School and plan to become either a psychologist or a teacher in the future. I've loved singing ever since I was small. Here's a short clip of me as a young toddler belting out, "Tomorrow" from Annie -- don't worry, I sing better today. I also know every Disney movie and song by heart.
I have a lot of firsthand experience with children of all ages. I have 20+ cousins and two young brothers who are now 5 years old. In previous roles, I served as camp counselor, babysitter, and parent helper both at home and during events. Most importantly, I genuinely love working with kids. I treat each child with deep respect, playful energy, and firm boundaries. My mom jokes that I'm a teenager that practices positive parenting.
Once Upon a Mattie was born out of my love of working with kids and bringing some extra magic when I come dressed in character (or not).
